All sounds on this album were created with a bass guitar.

Way back when, I got a bass in hopes of starting a band but never learned to play properly. In late 2020, I dusted off the old thing and got into a habit of mindlessly strumming it to virtual travel videos while trying to make sense of some things in my life. To my surprise, I liked some of the ideas that were coming out, so I decided to make an entire ambient album using only bass as a challenge. A few months later, my focus had shifted to other projects and the album was shelved indefinitely. I doubted I would ever revisit it, but after three years, I went on a dive through old archives and unearthed those songs. Driven by pangs of nostalgia, I decided to clean some of them up.
